About the centre
The centre has served as a leader in diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with neurological disorders. The Neuro Sciences department is a super-specialty setup concerned with prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of disorders affecting the brain, spine and peripheral nerves.
The Neurology department provides routine outdoor, indoor and dedicated emergency and neuro-intensive care, especially post-surgery and stroke. Specialty clinics address movement disorders, headache, epilepsy, neuro-muscle diseases, neuropsychiatry, pediatric neurology and pain.
24 × 7 Acute Stroke Management: our stroke team follows a standardised protocol to treat acute ischemic stroke within the golden period. Intravenous thrombolysis, intra-arterial thrombolysis or mechanical evacuation of the clot is done to minimise the damage caused by blocked blood vessels in the brain.
Diagnostic procedures available include EEG, EMG, NCV, sleep study, BERA, VEP and RNST.
